Understand How to Play Craps – Tips and Strategies: Sit Down at an Open Seat
You see a craps table with a few available spots. Which position should you occupy? That’s a matter of individual desire. Is there a beautiful man or lady gambling by themselves at 1 end of the table? Which gamblers are using cigarettes? Which look bored? Who seem drunk or atrocious? Select a location where you’ll feel the most at ease.
I like betting on the end, directly next to the croupier. On the end, I don’t need to be concerned about individuals on both sides of me. I do not prefer wagering next to the stickman because I constantly seem to be in the way of him trying to get the dice or moving the stick.
After participating for a while, you will get a feel for your preferred spot. You do not have a choice when it is crowded. If you end up in a crappy location (for example, an appalling player is next to you), just switch to a different free location. If the table is packed, hang out until someone walks away and take their position. Be aware of a gambler "coloring up," which is an indication that she’s leaving, and tell the croupier that you want to take over her position. The croupier will then reserve that spot and not permit a new player to quickly step in. The dealer will gently ask the new competitor to shift to the location that you vacate. Clearly, when you switch locations, don’t forget to take your chips.
Folks next to you can affect your feeling and complete betting experience. They can make it fun or miserable. You could get stuck next to a chain-smoking fat player with awful body smell, or it could be a group of drunk angels spilling out of their halter tops. So, choose your spot wisely.
